Why does Radr need accessibility?

Updated 31 October 2026 · 1 min read

  1. We use Android accessibility to read trip offers from Uber Driver and Bolt Driver: the text on the screen and an image of those apps’ screen. With that we do the maths, show the colour and, if you want, read the offer out loud.
  2. It doesn’t read other apps or tap anything for you.
  3. Before you open the settings, we show the “Turn on accessibility” notice. You only continue if you tap “Agree and continue”; “Not now” cancels.
  4. Without this permission the radar doesn’t turn on, so it’s the last one we ask for. You can turn it off whenever you want in Android’s Accessibility settings.
